Different in Philosophy

Our mission at EVCS is to educate and train students in truth and righteousness. By doing this, we support and strengthen the family and the local Bible believing church. We believe it is important not only to know how to earn a living but also to know how to live.

Different in Staff

Each faculty member is a born again Christian and has a sincere love for young people. Each teacher is both spiritually and professionally qualified for his or her area of responsibility. Our faculty will work with you to help your child reach his or her maximum spiritual and academic potential.

Different in Values

God's Word is truth. All academics are measured by the Word of God. God's Word and His moral nature are absolute. Absolutes, such as honesty, integrity, purity and modesty are aggressively taught. Our inspiring elementary and high school chapel services help grow the student's spiritual maturity.

Different in Academics and Curriculum

ABeka textbooks provide EVCS with an exceptionally strong academic program. Our elementary students consistently score in the upper 10th percentile in the nation among public schools on the IOWA Testing.  EVCS graduates are accepted at colleges and universities throughout the Country.

Grades 4-12 compete annually at Fine Arts competitions.  High school incorporates student council, honor society, choir, vocal ensembles and school yearbook.

Different in Discipline

The school's desire is to exalt Christ in every facet of our programs including academics, conduct, dress, attitude and all other aspects of behavior.  A good educational environment demands firm but loving Biblical discipline.

Different in Activities

EVCS provides a balanced program of sports as well as social and spiritual activities. EVCS is home to the Eagles. Our high school offers ladies cheerleading, basketball, volleyball and softball. Our young men are offered basketball.

EVCS is a member of West Virginia Christian Education Association Athletic Association and competes in various tournament play.  Other social activities include Homecoming, Senior Night, Prim, and the senior class trip.
